Social Justice

Are you interested in issues surrounding equity and human rights?

Do you want to get involved and make a difference within the Queen’s community and the Kingston community?

If you answered YES then the PSAC 901 Social Justice Committee is the place for you.

The Social Justice Committee works to organize, facilitate, and participate in research and other activities to raise awareness around LGBTQ, women’s and racial diversity issues and to work toward creating more inclusive spaces in the local, the university, and the broader Kingston community. This work is done through the forming of alliances with other groups within the university community and in the City of Kingston.

Previous Social Justice Committee Activities:

  • Kingston PRIDE Parade
  • Collaboration with Queen’s Equity Office and Human Rights Office
  • CLIFF Film Festival
  • Participation in equity-related campaigns and surveys at Queen’s (I COUNT,  Equial Pay Day)
  • Childcare Bursary Committee
