The Bylaws Committee meets and reviews the Locals Bylaws at least once a year, and ensures that these Bylaws align with the PSAC Constitution by submitting proposed changes to the Executive Committee (who then approve changes for ratification at GMs). The Committee meets minimally once each fiscal year to review the bylaws and to make suggestions of changes that are brought to the attention of the Executive Committee and the union membership via the Annual General Meeting. There may be additional meetings to review other matters relating to bylaws.
Any member in good standing may join the Bylaws Committee. The Bylaw Committee includes the Moderator, the local’s President, and is chaired by the Information Officer. If you are interested in joining the Bylaws Committee, please email the Information Officer at info.officer.psac901@gmail.com.
