The Bylaw Committee reviews the union’s Bylaws. The bylaws are, in essence, the constitution of the organization. They outline election procedures, Executive members positions and responsibilities, committee duties and are the groundwork of the union.
The Committee meets minimally once each fiscal year to review the bylaws and to make suggestions of changes that are brought to the attention of the Executive Committee and the union membership via the Annual General Meeting. There may be additional meetings to review other matters relating to bylaws.
Any member in good standing may join the Bylaws Committee. The Bylaw Committee includes the Moderator, the President of the local and is chaired by the Information Officer. If you are interested in joining the Bylaw Committee, please email the Information Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
